We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Safety Director to join our team. We are committed to providing a safe and secure environment for our employees and the communities in which we operate. This position is based in Atlanta Georgia, with up to 40% travel required to various locations within Georgia and throughout the U.S. 

About the Role: 

The Safety Director will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing all safety programs and initiatives for our bitcoin mining facilities. This individual will work closely with our management team and employees to ensure that our operations are in compliance with all local, state, and federal safety regulations. 

Responsibilities:

-Develop and implement comprehensive safety policies and procedures 

-Subject matter expert in electrical safety and NFPA 70e 

-Conduct regular safety audits and assessments to identify potential hazards and areas for improvement 

-Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees 

-Investigate and report on all accidents and incidents 

-Collaborate with local emergency response teams to ensure readiness for potential emergencies 

-Work with regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with all safety regulations 

-Stay informed of industry developments and best practices in safety 

-Continuously review and assess the effectiveness of our safety programs and make recommendations for improvement 

-Consult on electrical safety issues and the use of OSHA, NEC (NFPA 70), NFPA 70E standards  

-Administer Personal Protective Equipment program

Qualifications

-Bachelor's degree or higher occupational health and safety management or another related field 

-CSP certification from Board of Certified Safety Professionals institution and/or  

-A minimum of 5 years of experience in a safety leadership role, preferably in critical environment, data center or an industrial (low and high voltage) environment 

-OSHA 30, CPR, First-Aid, Arc Flash (NFPA 70E), Fall Protection & excavation certifications required 

-Thorough knowledge of local, state, and federal safety regulations and standards 

-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 

-Strong leadership and problem-solving skills 

-Ability to work independently and as part of a team 

-Manage and participate in a 24-hour emergency response team
