Job Overview:

The Legal Intern will assist the legal department in a variety of projects including contract review, due diligence, corporate registrations and litigation. This Intern will get significant in-house experience with a leading sustainable bitcoin mining and clean energy company that is publicly listed on the NASDAQ Stock Exchange. 

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Review material contracts and prepare written summaries and reports. 
  • Perform and review due diligence for potential transactions. 
  • Prepare presentations and communicate findings to the legal team. 
  • Assist with general administrative tasks related to legal team organization and functionality. 
  • Assist discovery requests for litigation. 
  • Support the set-up of processes and legal functions. 
  • File tax and business registrations. 
  • Be a leader in CleanSpark’s Environment, Social and Governmental (ESG) efforts. 
  • Directly support the CleanSpark legal team in operation and administrative matters. 
  • Attend meetings and discussions to understand background of legal questions. 
  • Own projects which add value to CleanSpark. 

Qualifications:

  • Completion of the First or Second year of law school and available to start soon.  
  • Strong academic credentials (expected minimum GPA of a 3.2 or higher at the end of the academic year and last previous semester). 
  • Comfortable in fast-paced small company environment with minimal direction and limited structures. 
  • Highly analytical and detail-oriented mindset. 
  • Excellent project management and MS Office Skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Sharepoint). 
  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
